Our client, a University based in London, is a looking to recruit to a newly created role of Communications Officer. The purpose of the will be to develop, manage and maintain the Schools electronic resources including the website, intranet and WebCT system.

The website is the primary marketing tool which reaches an average of 165,000 unique visitors per month, worldwide, including prospective students, research contacts, the media and alumni. As well as being an experienced web editor and writer, the role requires a solid understanding of WebCT or similar web based learning environment tool.

Your responsibilities will include:-
• Carrying out a review of and managing the day to day provision of the WebCT
• Promoting and implementing WebCT throughout the School, developing standard navigation tools, ensuring consistency and style.
• Write, develop and implement a school wide best practice document for media and e-communications
• Develop and manage the WebPages, ensuring the content is relevant and accurate, working closely academic and administrative staff.
• Liaising will college publications and web office to ensure adherence to relevant legislation
• Assess and develop the school communication software and tools, working alongside IT Managers.
• Forge strong working relations with the Marketing committee, school marketing manager, department managers

In order to be successful you will need:-
• To be degree education, preferably a First
• A qualification in web technologies
• Experience of marketing and communication in an education environment
• Have good skills in WebCT (or similar) Dreamweaver, content management systems, Microsoft office
• Proven Project Management experience
